New
statue for Mnarja 2003 [07/03/03]
Artist James Azzopardi is currently working on a new
statue to be set up on the left hand-side of Nadur's zuntier in
the next Mnarja. The statue, commissioned by the Kumitat Armar Pjazza,
depicts the martyrdom of Saint Peter, and will accompany another statue,
showing the martyrdom of St Paul, which was inaugurated last year. The
new statue is part of this committee's work to add more works of art in
Nadur's square during the festive days.
