Periodicals

Since there are numerous organizations in Nadur, there are also quite a considerable number of periodicals published in our town. An interesting fact is that two of Gozo’s leading printing presses are situated and run by people from Nadur. Both Portelli Print and J. Debono Printing Press continue to give a boost for new periodicals and publications in our town. Besides the many periodicals, the town of Nadur has also contributed to Maltese literature. Several books, from children stories to anecdotes and poetry, were written by people raised in Nadur. In this section we aim to promote such books and periodicals and keep you up to date with new publications. 

Hidmietna f’Isimkom

The Local Council’s official publication. It’s published every three months, featuring the council’s diary, latest news, photos and contact details. There is also a section dedicated to the residents’ views. 

Fir-Rebbiegha tal-Hajja

Monthly publication by the Nadur Youth Centre. The 4-page leaflet includes religious thoughts, past and future events, together with a number of photos and a competition.

Two monthly publications and two quarterly, published by the MUSEUM Boys Branch. Il-Hbieb Isejhu goes back to the late sixties, while Nimxu Id f’Id was first published in March 1979. All anecdotes published in Il-Hbieb Isejhu can also be found in three volumes of Il-Hbieb Isejhu Bl-Istejjer, which you can find listed below.

Ghalenija Naslu

The Nadur Youngsters FC quarterly booklet to all club members. There are the latest statistics and results, together with news from the club. There is also a section dedicated to the nurseries and activities. Click on the link above for extracts from the latest edition .

Kuntatt

Another quartely publication by the same Local Council. However this publication is wholly dedicated to the organizations functioning in Nadur. In each issue two organizations have their say. The publication is sponsored by Maltacom.

Lehen il-Banda Mnajra

From time to time the Mnarja Band Club keeps the Nadur residents up to date with their official publication.

Vigilat

Many used to call it the Nadur Year Book. Now it has transformed into an encyclopedia about the town. The latest edition of Vigilat was published this month and talks about the Sacred Heart Church in Nadur.

Minn Strada Rjali

An annual publication by the Ghaqda Armar Triq Dicembru 13. It is published a few days before the feast and gives ample details about the work carried out during the year.

Lehen il-Muzew tal-Bniet

The MUSEUM female branch also inform the public with their work. The newsletter is published every four months.

Ghaqda Rihana

The latest periodical to hit Nadur. It talks about the flora and fauna in our village. It’s published by the Ghaqda Rihana and distributed to all houses.

Bullettin tal-Parrocca

A weekly bulletin, which includes weekly thoughts and news from the Parish.

Luminaria

The Parish’s official magazine. It is published four times a year and offers a wide-variety of interesting reading to all.
