Book by Nadur author smashes sales records [26/07/05]

Pierre J. Mejlak and Merlin Library's Managing Director Arthur Gruppetta presenting a copy of "Enciklopedija ghat-Tfal" to President Eddie Fenech Adami.Published a mere month ago, with no launches or fanfare, Merlin Library's latest publication, Enciklopedija ghat-Tfal, has become a massive word-of-mouth success, smashing first-month sales records for non-fiction in Maltese. The book, adapted into Maltese by Naduri Pierre J. Mejlak,  is a first in its genre: an exhaustive, one-volume children's encyclopedia in Maltese. Organised thematically, it covers most topics children would want to look up. The encyclopedia includes sections on planet Earth, animals and plants, the human body, history, ways of life, science, technology, space and geography. The last section includes flags of countries of the world, detailed maps of all the continents as well as facts and figures on earth and space. The inclusion of countries' names in Maltese is undoubtedly a very convenient tool. Click here for more.
