Nadur family wins Golden Heart Family Award [30/01/05]

Mario and Maria Portelli have been recently awarded the Golden Heart Family Award. President Eddie Fenech Adami presided over the award ceremony which was organised by Gozo's Cana Movement. The Golden Heart Award has been organised annually for 34 years and is given to the family which has remained united even when having to make sacrifices to overcome unfortunate circumstances. Mr and Mrs Portelli, of Nadur, have three children who require special attention. However, despite these problems, the family still managed to remain united. Notary Dr Paul George Pisani, who chaired the judging panel, congratulated the Portelli family. The Portellis were presented with a shield by President Fenech Adami and also received various gifts.
