Second
edition of Car Free Day in Nadur [24/08/04]
There
will
be no cars nor motorcycles passing through Nadur's main road,
December 13th Street, on September 26th. Nadur will on that
day join hundreds of European Cities marking Car Free Day. The
European Mobility Week has now established itself as a truly
European initiative with around 400 cities participating. It
is an opportunity for all participating cities to show how
matters related to the environment concern them. Presenting
our urban centres in a different light for one day by
restricting motorised traffic in certain areas, encouraging
the use of sustainable modes of transport and raising
awareness for the environmental impacts of citizens' modal
choice, are the key types of actions implemented by the local
authorities.

The
story of a Naduri in Holland [11/08/04]
Nadur
Prince was born in Nadur on January 14th 1999. When Nadur
Prince was one, Rinus Biemans, a Dutch dog-enthusiast, arrived
in Malta looking for a good hunter. His friends told him to
cross over to Gozo. He went up to Nadur and found the dog he
was looking for. Nadur Prince, registered within the Malta
Kennel Club under the Tal-Wardija affix, is now living
in Holland with Anneke and Rinus Biemans. The Kelb
tal-Fenek is Malta's national hound. June29th.com
met Nadur Prince and this
is what he told us...
