Youngsters
to face Xaghra United on Sunday [30/11/02] Nadur
Youngsters will face Xaghra United for the second time
this season on Sunday at 1230 CET at Sannat Ground. This should be
the Youngsters' last game at Sannat Ground for this season.
Youngsters'
Coach Teddie Bajada has all the squad available for this 8th game of
the season. Most probably we will see in action the same squad which
gave Ghajnsielem FC a cold shower last weekend.
"It's
an important game for us," whites' Manager Chris Said told

snatch our 7th Gozo Championship title." All Nadurin are being

Okoro
shoots down Blacks! [23/11/02] Two
Maczerob Okoro goals and another one by Anthony Portelli rocked
Ghajnsielem FC on Saturday afternoon and gave the Youngsters a very important victory. The
Youngsters' 21-year-old Nigerian striker opened the score on the
42nd minute. Fifteen minutes into the second half he did it again,
this time with a marvelous 30-metre shot.
Anthony
Portelli, who had his penalty saved by the black's goalie, was quick
enough to shoot it back in on rebound!
The tense clash at the Sannat Ground,
had everything football has to offer. Fast and furious pace, hard
tackling, good open play and goalmouth action. "It was a tough
game for both squads. We had to get three points out of it and came
here very determined to do so," Club Manager Chris Said told
june29th.com.

enthusiasts get busy! [13/11/02] Following
the feast of St Coronato, the Nadurin are now looking forward for a special

in Nadur. The MUSEUM-boys branch, the Youth Centre, the PN Club,

Thousands
of jellyfish reach Nadur! [08/11/02] Thousands
of jellyfish were washed ashore in Dahlet Qorrot and San Blas on
Thursday and Friday. Fishermen at Dahlet Qorrot were surprised to
see the beach covered
with jellyfish. Marsalforn and Ramla l-Hamra also experienced a
similar unusual invasion.
"Some
jellyfish were up to 12 centimetres in diameter, although there were
a lot of smaller ones," an eyewitness told june29th.com.
Conservation
biologist Adriana Vella said jellyfish often move with the current.
“It is not surprising that they were washed ashore following this
week’s storm. Just as they came in, they will go out,” she
said. However she urged the Nadurin not to walk barefooted on the
beach nor to swim till the jellyfish disappear!
