Agricultural fair opens with traditional Maltese evening [21/06/03]
This year's Agricultural Fair opened on Saturday evening with a folkloristic show. A number of tourists intermingled with a crowd of Nadurin and enjoyed the traditional Maltese song (ghana), the Folk Group Mnarja and numerous entertainers, including Tony Camilleri (l-ghannej). Numerous local farmers are also exhibiting their juiciest, biggest and most colourful products, while local artists are taking the opportunity to promote their work. Animals and pets will go on show on Sunday morning. The fair is organised annually by the Nadur Local Council.
