Nadur Carnival 2002

• Giovedi_grass (the June 29th Party kicking off Carnival celebrations)

• A float in the making (the Ghaqda Skaduti crew building their float)

• Carnival Sunday (a four-hour spectacle organized by the Local Council)

• The grotesque, macabre and spontaneous celebrations in the evening

Carnival is in the heart of all Nadurin! History has it that the spontaneous Carnival celebrations in Gozo always centered around the village of Nadur.  In the past years, the Local Council started organizing its own carnival Show on Sunday afternoon, making Nadur Malta’s Carnival City.

The 2002 festivities were no exception when compared to previous Carnivals.  The rain-free weather triggered thousands of people, form all over the Maltese Islands and lots of tourists to come over and enjoy the real Carnival experience.
